At Whole Health Dentistry, we strive to help you achieve the smile of your dreams with our various cosmetic services. Cosmetic dentistry is designed to correct the imperfections of your smile, while also improving your oral health. Our cosmetic services can help improve discolored, misaligned, cracked, chipped, or abnormally-shaped teeth. We can also create a more balanced ratio between your gum tissues and the visible portion of your teeth.
We offer a variety of services including:
One of the most common requests we receive involves our teeth whitening procedure. In-office, or “chairside” whitening, is simple, safe, effective, and fast! Your treatment may be completed in a single appointment. During the procedure, we will apply a whitening agent to the front surface of your teeth, and use a special light to activate the whitening process. This process may be repeated several times until we achieve the desired results. The whitening process is an ongoing one. We may recommend a custom-fit mouth tray for at-home whitening as well.
Composite bonding involves the use of resin composite, a putty-like material that can be shaped and textured to match your tooth enamel. Composite bonding can be used to correct minor chips, gaps, cracks, and discolorations. Although it has several cosmetic benefits, composite bonding can also be used for restorative treatment. Many cavities these days are filled with composite resin. Composite bonding is also considered to be one of the least invasive and least expensive procedures available today.
Laser gum contouring is a quick and minimally-invasive approach to smile correction for patients with excess gum tissue. When excess gum tissue covers more of the tooth than it should, we refer to as a “gummy smile.” During laser gum contouring, we remove this excess tissue with cutting-edge laser technology. Lasers cut and cauterize tissue at the same time. This makes your treatment and recovery period virtually painless!
Porcelain veneers are razor-thin shells that fit over the front surface of your teeth to improve their appearance. Most veneers are fabricated using porcelain due to its superior esthetic value. Porcelain possesses the same light-scattering properties as natural enamel. Dental crowns can also be made from porcelain; however, veneers are generally considered a conservative alternative. With a dental crown, your tooth enamel has to be completely reshaped. With porcelain veneers, we only need to remove a small amount of enamel from the front surface.
ClearCorrect is an orthodontic treatment that utilizes a series of plastic aligner trays. These trays are clear, and virtually invisible when you place them on your teeth. This makes ClearCorrect the ideal choice for patients who are concerned with discretion. Most people may not notice you are wearing your aligners. Each aligner gradually moves your teeth to a more proper position. We may recommend ClearCorrect if you have overly crowded teeth, gapped teeth, a crossbite, an overbite, an underbite, or an open bite.
